🎯 READ: Accessing Office 365

Applications within Office 365 can be accessed in two ways.  Teachers, Administrators, and Students with Windows devices have access to the desktop versions of the applications (Word, Outlook, etc.).  These will be pre-installed on your district computer.  For Chrome devices, users will access the applications through the web portal as described below.

All staff and students also have access to the web version of the Office apps.  Here's how to access those:

1. Log in to the my.hsd2.org portal using your credentials
2. Click on the Office 365 icon
   1. If prompted, enter your e-mail address and click next
   2. Enter your password and click sign in
   3. If you are outside the district, you may be prompted for your MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) approval.  You may check "Don't ask for 60 Days" before you approve the login from your phone or enter the code sent by SMS text message.
   4. Eventually, you will need to enter a phone number for MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication). We recommend using a personal cellphone number to send the text message (SMS). If this number ever changes, you may enter a Web Help Desk Links to an external site. ticket under Software/Systems -> Office -> Multi-Factor Authentication.
3. You now have access to all of the web versions of Office 365, including Outlook for checking e-mail.
