Course Syllabus

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course contains an interactive Nearpod presentation and a discussion board assignment. Thoughtful, professional responses in the activities which make it evident you viewed the presentation and reflected upon it are expected.  To complete the course, in place of a quiz you will write a math goal and objective which will be "graded" based on using a CDE standard and evidence outcome to generate them.  At the end of the course, you are asked to complete the required course survey.

IMPORTANT: If the videos and Nearpod features do not work correctly, you will need to open Canvas using Google Chrome. The Nearpod will prompt you to log in - use your Google Chrome login credentials - which is the same login and password as your MS Office and district login. The initial video takes approximately 30 seconds to load - please do not skip it.

The presentation topics in this course are:

  1. Using Colorado Academic Standards and Grade Level Expectations (GLE) to write standards-based IEP math goals.
  2. Using Evidence Outcomes, or Extended Evidence Outcomes, to write IEP objectives.
