BIP WRITING AND IMPLEMENTATION

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course includes an interactive presentation through Nearpod which shows Special Education teachers how to use an FBA to determine the needed interventions for positive behavior, antecedent strategies, replacement behaviors and behavior teaching strategies. Thoughtful, professional responses in the activities which make it evident you viewed the presentation and reflected upon it are expected.

Credit Hours: This course is offered for 1 credit.  You must register in Performance Matters to receive credit @ https://hsd2.truenorthlogic.com/ia/empari/learning2/registration/presentRegistrationDetails/51560

CONTACT HOURS: This is a 1.0 credit course, offered in Canvas. Since this is offered online at the participant’s own pace as opposed to an in-person 1 hour workshop, expect to spend at least 1.5 hours of time reading and viewing material, and interacting with the activities using critical thinking.

ATTENDANCE: Online courses have deadlines, assignments, and participation requirements. You may take breaks between assignments, however, once you begin the course, you will need to complete it in a reasonable amount of time. Because the course is on-demand and ends May 27, 2022, credit will be given when it closes.

COURSE INSTRUCTOR:  EMILY JONES, BCBA, Harrison Schools District 2.

COURSE HOST: DEBBIE DAVIDSON - If you have any questions about the course, you may email me at ddavidson@hsd2.org, or call me at 719-579-3247 (office), 719-308-1180 (work cell).

COURSE SCHEDULE: This course is open from 4-1-22 to 5-26-22.

PROFESSIONALISM: PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE INSTRUCTOR'S TIME! If you sign up for the course and decide not to take it, or not to complete it, PLEASE remove yourself from the Performance Matters course. It takes quite a bit of time to cross reference PM, Canvas and the Nearpod to determine completion. Thanks!!
